The Cursa DIR Guardia Urbana has become one of Barcelona’s most prominent sporting events, bringing together thousands of participants each year along the iconic Diagonal Avenue. It is a race that combines sport, health and public service in an open and inclusive environment.
In this context, the presentation of the 12th edition of the race has also helped strengthen the connection between these values and those of the Jocs IPA de la Fraternitat 2026.
In this edition, the 5 km and 10 km races along Diagonal Avenue will be included as off-track events within the Games, allowing participants from different countries to share a sporting experience open to both the city and its citizens.
DIR brings to the Games its commitment to a healthy lifestyle, personal effort and self-improvement, while the Jocs IPA de la Fraternitat promote camaraderie, fraternity and unity among security and emergency professionals from around the world through sport.
Barcelona will once again become a meeting point where competition, sharing and coexistence go hand in hand.
